I was in a hot tub in Key West, FL last Christmas having a fluffy convo w/ my dad about what I want to do in life. Right after I mention I'm thinking of an English or Business major, a self-righteous MIT businessman kindly inserted himself in our conversation:
"So, uh, what the hell are you gonna do with an English major?" he scoffs down at me.
Spitting my mind: "Um idk I just really love writing, might have a blog one day, write a book, we'll see where it takes me."
"Yeah haha... you might just wanna stick to business."
So thank you, Mr. Macho MIT—really. For talking down to me from your high and mighty soapbox and inspiring me to prove you wrong. I'll make sure to send you a copy of my first book. 😘
